What is ATG? Auction Technology Group (ATG) powers the discovery of items worth finding again. Our mission is to make buying and selling feel seamless and full of possibility through trusted global marketplaces and smart technology. ATG’s family of brands include LiveAuctioneers, Proxibid, Chairish, EstateSales.Net, and other trusted platforms for finding and selling items worth passing on.
What is the Platinum Plan? The Platinum Plan is Chairish's newest membership tier that combines the best of both worlds: your trusted Chairish storefront experience plus access to Chairish Auctions, powered by LiveAuctioneers.
With Platinum, you can sell your inventory through two channels — reaching both Chairish's design-focused marketplace and LiveAuctioneers' global auction platform with 31M+ bidders worldwide. The plan includes enhanced marketing tools, better commission rates, and full-service auction support.
Plan Features & Benefits
Why are you introducing a new membership package? With Chairish joining the ATG family earlier this month, we’ve had a lot of excitement from our dealer community about new ways to reach buyers. Many are eager to tap into LiveAuctioneers’ audience and use auctions to accelerate sales or strategically liquidate inventory.
This acquisition opens the door to a host of opportunities, and Platinum is the first way we’re bringing them to you. With Platinum, you’ll have the power to sell your inventory in two complementary ways — through your Chairish storefront and via Chairish Auctions powered by LiveAuctioneers — all under one plan.
I am a member of Plus. What are the differences between Plus and Platinum? With Platinum, you'll continue to enjoy nearly all the benefits of your current Plus plan, as well as the ability to participate in auctions through LiveAuctioneers. While private sales are not included in Platinum, you'll gain an exciting new advantage — the opportunity to expand your selling strategy with auctions, opening the door to a whole new audience and sales channel through Chairish and the ATG family of brands.
I am a member of Elite, what are the differences between Elite and Platinum? With Platinum, you'll continue to enjoy the same commission structure and nearly all the marketing programs included in Elite — including $30 in free Promoted Listings credits each month, the ability to merchandise your storefront, and a Quarterly Business Review. While private sales and expedited payments/listings are not part of Platinum, you'll gain an exciting new advantage: the ability to sell through auctions powered by LiveAuctioneers — a whole new way to reach buyers and grow your business through Chairish and the ATG family of brands.
I am a member of Premium, what are the differences between Premium and Platinum? With Platinum, you'll enjoy significantly more benefits than your current Premium plan. You'll gain access to powerful Chairish marketing tools, including $30 in free Promoted Listings credits each month, the ability to merchandise your storefront, and a Quarterly Business Review. You'll also receive a more generous commission structure — just 20% on one-of-a-kind listings.
On top of that, Platinum gives you access to Chairish Auctions powered by LiveAuctioneers. That means 0% commission in auction sales, full-service auction support, exposure to 31M+ bidders worldwide, and the same seamless payment terms and shipping support you already enjoy with Chairish.
I would like to keep expedited payment and listings with my Elite plan, but I'm interested in auctioning off some of my inventory. Do I have the ability to do that outside of the Platinum package? Not at this time. However, you can become a seller on LiveAuctioneers to auction off any additional inventory.
I like the idea of Platinum, but I will miss private sales. Is there a way I can keep private sales and join the Platinum plan? While private sales aren't currently available as an 'à la carte' option, we're excited to be expanding our Seller Sales program in the coming months. This will give you the ability to run 3- or 4-day sales directly from your Chairish storefront.
Unlike private sales, Seller Sales offer even greater visibility — including placement on the Chairish homepage, promotion across our social media channels, and targeted emails to customers who've already shown interest in your shop and products.

Fees & Payments
Why is there a fee to join? Chairish has never had a fee before. Setting up an auction listing requires a bit more preparation, and the one-time fee helps cover the administrative work that allows us to provide full-service support on the auction side of the business.
If I leave the Platinum plan and want to join again at a future date, will I have to pay the introductory fee again? Yes, if you cancel your Platinum plan, you will have to pay the introductory fee again.
If I upgrade plans, will I have to pay the activation fee again? No, activation fees are only paid by new customers and when upgrading from a free plan to a paid plan. If you're upgrading from one paid plan to another, you do not have to pay the fee.
However, if you are upgrading from a free plan to Platinum, you will be required to pay the activation fee.
If I'm on the consignor plan and want to upgrade to Platinum, will I have to pay the activation fee? Activation fees are only paid by new paid plan subscribers. If you're upgrading from one paid plan to another you do not have to pay the fee. Since consignors do not pay a SaaS fee, they will be required to pay the activation fee.
If I’m upgrading from an existing plan, do I just pay the difference in monthly cost? Yes, if you’re upgrading from an existing paid plan, you will be pro-rated and pay the difference in monthly cost.
I’m currently on the Elite Plan – how much more would Platinum cost me? If you upgrade from Elite to Platinum, it would be $50 more per month.
What happens if I've prepaid for an annual plan and want to upgrade to Platinum? We are prioritizing non-members and monthly members for Platinum. If you are interested in upgrading, please reach out to support to cancel your annual membership and upgrade you to Platinum.
Will my payout (timing, method, etc.) be the same whether my item sells on Chairish or LiveAuctioneers? Yes — no matter where your item sells, you'll receive the same payment terms and method.
Auction Process
Can I choose what items I want to sell at auction? Not at this time. Our team carefully selects items for auction based on buyer demand and marketplace trends to give you the best chance of success. This way, your pieces are positioned to attract the right bidders and sell quickly.
Will I be notified in advance about which items are chosen for auction?
Yes, we will email you when assets/items have been selected for sale at an auction. You will also be able to see in Chairisher that those assets/items are "at auction.”
What are the limitations of items that can be listed for auction? For launch, items will only be listed for auction if they are listed with seller designated shipping or are parcel items. We are actively looking to expand this program to larger items that ship white glove in the coming months. Please note, we will not list items with an active offer or hold.
Does my item have to meet Chairish curatorial standards to sell on Chairish Auctions? Yes. Since all Chairish Auction items must be uploaded via Chairish.com, they will be subject to the same curatorial standards.
If I have items that have been denied by the Chairish curation team, will I be able to list them for auction? No, all items on Chairish Auctions must pass through Chairish's curation team. If the curation team has denied your item, it will not be listed on Chairish Auctions.
What types of items sell well on auctions? Are they the same as what sells on Chairish? Auctions work exceptionally well for pieces that benefit from competitive bidding dynamics – such as fine art, antique jewelry, rare collectables, and unique one-of-a-kind pieces. Furniture and larger items can also perform well, especially when sellers want to create more urgency to buy.
While Chairish marketplace works well for all styles and eras of design, auctions favor items where rarity or collector appeal creates bidding competition.
How will I know if an item is sold through auction or through Chairish? You will be notified of a sale through email. Currently, there will be no mention of whether it was sold through Chairish or Chairish Auctions. Indication of which platform the item was sold on will come later. However, the shipping process remains the same no matter where the item was sold.
Will Chairish Auctions honor my reserve price? Yes. Chairish Auctions will honor your reserve price and will never list or sell an item below reserve.
If I have an active offer on an item, will it be taken for an auction? No, listings with active offers will be suppressed from being chosen for auction.
How often will my listings be put in an auction if I am a Platinum member? Usually, listings are at auction for 1-2 weeks. If an item does not sell at auction during that time, it will not be listed again for another 3-4 weeks.
Platform Details
Does LiveAuctioneers charge sales tax? Is tax treated the same on Chairish and LiveAuctioneers? Chairish Inc. is obligated to collect sales tax as a Marketplace Facilitator. The company currently manages both the exemption and collection. Buyers can provide tax exempt certificates to void sales taxes. We are not responsible though for taxes and VAT for international buyers.
Will I have a storefront on LiveAuctioneers? All Chairish Auctions sellers will have a storefront on LiveAuctioneers. However, the storefront will be limited and will not be customizable – no seller name, logo, etc
