What is Dering Hall? Dering Hall is the digital design center bringing trade brands, kitchen & bath brands, artisan makers and boutique contemporary brands into a curated discovery experience – supported by strong editorial exposure and an elite design professional directory, creating a go-to destination for design professionals and their clients. Dering Hall is part of Chairish Inc, which includes Chairish, Dering Hall and DECASO.

What is Chairish? Chairish is the design lovers’ indispensable source for chic & unique furniture, decor and art – including vintage & antique items alongside stylish ready to ship contemporary pieces and showroom samples. 

What is the partnership of MADE:MODERN and Dering Hall/Chairish? Dering Hall and Chairish are the proud sponsors of MADE:MODERN in 2019. As part of this partnership, Dering Hall is building a MADE:MODERN profile on our platform to highlight your beautiful pieces, create world-class editorial, and extend your WestEdge sponsorship beyond the show itself.

If I want to be part of the MADE:MODERN profile, what will I have to do? Get started here and our member experience team will reach out to you to decide what pieces you would like to feature and if you are interested in selling your pieces online or simply getting inquiries on those pieces so you can follow up directly. Once we have that basic information, you will be included in the program.

How many pieces can I list? You can list up to five pieces free of charge. If you are interested in expanding your presence on Dering Hall, DECASO or Chairish, we have a discounted offer for MADE:MODERN exhibitors we can discuss.

How long will my pieces be online? Your items will be listed as part of the MADE:MODERN profile through 2019. At the end of the year, we can discuss extending your membership with Chairish Inc. at a discounted rate, depending on the success you’ve had.

When will the profile go live? We are aiming to get the profile live in early September.

Will you put brands up from MADE:MODERN if they don’t opt in? No. This is a voluntary program. You don’t have to participate and if you choose not to, your brand and items will not be represented on the platform.

If I choose to sell my items online, how will that work? If you choose to sell your items online, Chairish Inc. will handle payment processing, shipping, logistics, and customer service. You will be charged a 20% commission on any piece sold.

If I choose not to sell my items online, how will that work? If you choose not to sell your items online, visitors to the Dering Hall platform will simply inquire on your pieces. You will receive their contact information and the question they have on the item to the email of your choosing.

Do I have to list pricing on these items? We recommend listing pricing. With pricing, you will be included in our digital marketing efforts including paid search advertising, dynamic search ads, and a robust Pinterest Feed. These features are not available for items that do not list pricing.

It’s difficult for me to list pricing because everything I make is custom. Every item is different. We understand that predicament. Most of the items listed on Dering Hall are custom, so we have “starting at” pricing.

I offer trade pricing. Is there a way to only show pricing to those who have been approved to your trade program? Yes.

What do I get from joining this program? You get access to large professional audience of Dering Hall, which now has over 40,000 members of the A&D community who source on the site every month. You get the opportunity to generate leads or sales from your presence on the platform. By participating in the profile, you will also be included in dedicated editorial around the WestEdge event. The Dering Hall Journal is featured on the website, e-newsletter (180K opt-in subscribers), social media channels (1M followers) and an extensive syndication network including Elle Decor, Forbes Life, and Cottages and Gardens. This program is a great way for your brand to get more exposure in a variety of media outlets and design platforms.
