The Importance of Tearsheets in a Design Schematic

Example of a design schematic using products found on Dering Hall

The design schematic is an important part of the interior design process.  It allows your clients to envision the physical room, offers a period of collaboration, and ultimately lets them picture specific pieces within a space.

Tearsheets allow you to show not only the pieces but the brands and costs of those pieces in one central place.  In a design schematic, you can highlight fabrics, colors, and materials.

Tearsheets are unique to the design industry and today can be physical or digital.  Tearsheets are convenient because they can easily be traded out, discussed, and agreed upon prior to purchase.  If a client likes the overall look but doesn't care for a specific item within a room or space, simply find alternatives through tearsheets.

Dering Hall has one-click downloads of tearsheets and images of all 50,000 products listed.  To build your next Design Schematic using Dering Hall, simply follow these three steps.
