On Thursday, October 4, J Pocker and Dering Hall will be hosting “The Hang of It” – A Design Symposium. The symposium will be moderated by Dering Hall’s Executive Editor, Dennis Sarlo, and President of J. Pocker Custom Framing & Fine Art, Eric Mauskopf. Connecticut's top interior designers will gather to discuss their approach to finishing a room design, give their take on incorporating art and mirrors, and take questions directly after.

Tina Anastasia
Mark Finlay Architects
Partner & Director of Interior Design

Tina Anastasia is responsible for overseeing all residential and commercial interior design projects.

Prior to moving to Connecticut, Tina owned and operated a successful architectural and interior design firm for 20 years in Florida. Having received two separate degrees - one in Interior Design and the other in Building Construction Technology in Architecture - Tina is able to incorporate her knowledge of the architectural process to master the art of interior design. She also holds a certification from the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and is a registered and licensed Interior Designer in both Florida and Connecticut. Additionally, Tina is an ASID professional member.

Having received many accolades and awards, Tina’s diverse and stylish portfolio has been published in numerous design magazines. Tina and her husband John have 3 children and reside in Westport Connecticut.

Saranda Berisa
Wadia Associates
Director of Interior Design Decoration

Saranda heads Wadia Associates’ Interiors Division. Born in Southampton, NY and raised in Greenwich, CT, she studied Interior Design at New York’s highly regarded Parsons School of Design. After her training, she went on to work for several prominent New York design firms, honing her design skills for a prestigious client base in New York and the Hamptons.

Prior to joining Wadia Associates, she was the lead designer at Matthew Patrick Smyth Inc. Her impressive design portfolio includes projects in Aspen, Palm Beach, and New York City. Saranda’s passion for creativity is boundless and evident in all she does. A quiet elegance and sophistication is the hallmark of all of her designs, which are soothing and blend harmoniously with their architectural surroundings. A self proclaimed perfectionist, she takes pride in the fine details.

Christina Lake
Forehand + Lake
Partner & Interior Designer

Christina Lake has 25 years of experience as an interior designer. While originally from Maine, she has made Connecticut her home since studying design at Fairfield University. She has worked with Raymond Forehand for fourteen years collaborating as partners at Forehand + Lake for the past four. Their work encompasses a wide array of projects showcasing her ability to seamlessly blend traditional and contemporary elements with an underlying emphasis on clean lines and classic style.
