Unlike many industries that thrive on scale and efficiency, design thrives on intimacy and personality. Every designer, artisan, showroom, and brand has a unique story to tell grounded in our quality, artisanship and experience.  It's our observation that our community has often banded together in organizations, design centers, and via magazines so the collective power of our stories can be heard.

Right now we are seeing changes in the some of these pillars of our market.  Traditional media companies appear to be shifting their focus to celebrity, design centers and showrooms are seeing reduced foot traffic, and our clients are changing what they expect.  Additionally, it appears that some technology-based companies are proving to be not what they originally promised.

From the beginning, we have built Dering Hall to reflect the unique attributes of our community and harness the collective power of our creativity.  Our core is the individual profiles on our site and our strength is in the editorial content we to create and distribute every day.  We curate everything we do and tailor each aspect of our experience to reflect the way our market functions.
