The I Heart Design Contest
Win a world-class article on Dering Hall featuring your design firm
The challenge is to design the most stunning living room you can using only products on Dering Hall. Your budget is unlimited and the room is a perfect square (24' on each side). There is one entry point and four windows. Take these parameters and choose furniture, fabrics, paints, and accessories from Dering Hall to design a beautiful room.
How it Works:
The Dering Hall I Heart Design contest allows design professionals and enthusiasts to exercise their creativity for a chance to win a world-class feature on Dering Hall. Design the perfect living room with the premium furniture and accessories listed on Dering Hall. Submit up to ten design ideas to the editorial board at marketing@deringhall.com by September 10, 2018. The editorial board will select five finalists based on the room and your inspiration, so include some highlights in the body of the email. The larger Dering Hall community will vote on their favorite of the five and a final winner will be announced in October.
First, sign in or log into Dering Hall in the top right header of the homepage at deringhall.com.
Ready to get started?
First, go to deringhall.com and either sign in or log into your Dering Hall account (pictured above). You must be logged in to create a favorites folder.
Next, choose the items you would like to decorate the living room. You can source by category (furniture, accessories, carpets, etc.) and sort your list by most recent or price. There is even an option to filter by artisanal brands if you want to include more rare items in your collection. When you find an item you would like, click the "heart" icon on the product page (pictured below) and save it to a folder labeled "Contest."
When you click on the heart by a specific item (pictured above) the folders will automatically drop down. Choose the folder you have designated for the contest.
Once you finish selecting items, go to your folder by clicking the grey icon in the top right corner (pictured left). Click "Favorites" next to the red heart.
Go into your Contest folder and email the entire folder to marketing@deringhall.com. To do this, click on "Share Folder" in the top right and scroll down to "Email." This will pop up a form where you can email your submission. Include your contact information, inspiration, and any other details in the body of the email as part of your submission.
You do not have to be a design professional or a Dering Hall member to enter to win.
The Timing of the Contest
The I Heart Design Contest begins August 20, 2018. Submissions will be accepted until midnight Pacific Standard Time on September 10, 2018. That week, the Dering Hall Editorial Team will review all submissions and choose five finalists.
Those five finalists will be promoted starting September 17, 2018 through the end of the month. Anyone will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite submission. The winner of the most votes will receive a complimentary in-depth article about their design studio, a feature valued at over $5,000.
